C.A.U.S.E. - Mission Statement

After careful study and analysis of the aftermath of Renaissance 2010 and the disparaging impact on the culture of CPS School communities, C.A.U.S.E. is dedicated to bringing all forces together to improve instruction for our students and prepare teachers for rigorous yet engaging instruction.

Our basic concept is to improve instruction by engaging CPS,  parents, teachers and the community to play an active and harmonious role in facilitating successful outcomes for our students. Our goal is to reshape the union in a way that invites active participation in relationship to how CPS relates to its employees. We even envision the infrastructure of CPS being designed in a manner that neutralizes negative interaction with the CTU by developing collaborative teams that have a common goal. That goal is the improvement of instruction and creating environments that foster and encourage teacher excellence and job security.
